Mrs. Helen Burkhead Maenner, 97, of Louisiana, MO., formerly of Vandalia, Missouri passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, Mo.
The Rev. Randall Cone will officiate. Visitation will be held from Noon until time of service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 12 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Vandalia City Cemetery in Vandalia, Mo.
Helen was born April 17, 1916 in Frankford, Mo. the daughter of Ale  and Rosa Caldwell Burkhead. She married Albert Maenner August 16, 1934 in Bowling Green, Mo. and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews; Carolyn White and Carla Starkey, both of Louisiana, Mo.; Diane Goodhart, of St. Louis, Mo.; Darlene Hogue, of Vandalia, Mo.; Mary Helen Hubert And Jim, of Curryville, Mo.; Joanna Johnson and Edward Allen Johnson, of Louisiana, Mo.; Ima Windmiller, of the State of Mississippi, and Bert and Edward Jennings of Curryville, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Martha Allen of Vandalia, Mo.; and great nieces and nephews, Eddie Jennings and Stacey Jennings, of Curryville, Mo.; Marilyn and Blake Horn, of Curryville, Mo., and Danny and Gina Hubert, of Curryville, Mo.; Joanette and Bob Skidmore, of Wichita, Kan.; Janet and J. B. Hutson, of Clarksville, Mo.; Dale and Johnna Hogue, of Frankford, Mo.; and Dwayne and Vernea Hogue, of Laddonia, Mo.; and several other great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Maenner, two brothers and one sister.
She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Vandalia, Mo.
Pallbearers were; Ed Johnson, Edward Jennings, Jim Hubert, Larry White, Dale Hogue and Dwayne Hogue.
