The Missouri State Fair in Sedalia is a time to show off the latest crop of new farm equipment, watch youth show off their livestock, and watch entertainers show their talents.
Monday, August 15, is a great time to see what “crops up” at the State Fair. That is the day designated as “Farm Bureau/Farm Family Day.” It is a day to honor selected farm families from each county while offering discounts to all fairgoers. Save $1 on gate admission, $5 on an unlimited one-day carnival ride wristband and save up to $5 on admission to the Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pull.
“Farm Bureau Day” discount coupons are free and available at the Audrain County Farm Bureau office located at 113 E. Jackson St., Mexico, Mo. You don’t have to be a member to pick up the coupons, but they are not available on the Fairgrounds and are only valid on August 15.
“Farm Bureau is proud to be a major sponsor of the Missouri State Fair and looks forward every year to provide these savings on Farm Bureau Day,” said Blake Hurst, Missouri Farm Bureau president. “We are excited about what the future holds for agriculture and look forward to visitors at the Missouri Farm Bureau Fair Building.
Farm Bureau’s building, between the Mo-Ag and Administration buildings, will focus on technology, as well as many regulatory issues that affect farming today. Learn about Farm Bureau’s insurance coverages, other membership programs and participate in the Straw Poll for statewide candidates.
Any day of the Fair, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., you can enter a drawing to win a John Deere riding lawn tractor.
There is no cost to enter this contest and a winner will be drawn after the Fair. Cool off with a refreshing cup of milk for only .25 cents. Chocolate is a favorite.
