While several Van-Far boys and girls track and field athletes did not attend the Louisiana meet last week, one runner made the most of her opportunity to single-handedly put the Lady Indians in sixth place at the meet.
She scored all seven of Van-Far’s team points after placing third in the 400 meters in 1:11.86 and taking sixth in the 200 meters in 31.38 seconds.
“Breanna is really working hard and it was good to see her place in both events she ran” said Van-Far head coach Blake Logan.
Star distance runner Chevi Windland was running stride-for-stride with the leader in her 3,200 meters race before having to pull out due to an injury.
“Chevi is battling a hip injury and we are really hopeful that she will be back by Conference and/or Districts,” Logan said.
Autumn Cross was sick and was unable to compete while none of the boys participated.
