Glenn Wayne Holman

Glenn Wayne Holman, age 76, Lieutenant Colonel United States Army, Retired, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, Jan. 12, 2015 in Bowling Green.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Pastor Dawn Marie Turner officiating.  Visitation was held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at the funeral home.
He will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors.
He was born April 10, 1938 to the late Frank and Beulah Nichols Holman in Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mabel Elizabeth (Worthington) Holman, his young daughter Dennine Clare, his parents, and brother Wendell Eugene Holman.
Survivors include children, Kathleen Diana (Dave) Holt, Odon, Ind., Leslie Jean (Jim) Tucker, Stephens City, Va., Jeffrey Wayne (Susan) Holman, Woodbridge, Va., Rodger Andrew (CeCe) Holman, Reston, Va.; grandchildren Jamie (Amy) Tucker, Andy Holman, Thomas Holman, Virginia Holman, Samantha (Brian) Cox, Jessica Schenck, Allie Holman, Megan Schenck, Michael Holt; newly arrived great- granddaughter Kate Tucker; and his beloved four legged friend, Corky.  After his wife’s passing, Wayne reunited with one of his first loves, Ethel Worthington.  Her family welcomed him into their lives.
Grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
