Friendship Baptist Church

On Sunday, April 10, the Friendship Baptist Church congregation had a great day! Sunday School attendance was about average and morning worship attendance was about 60. Just prior to the “Noisy Offering,” a video was shown describing how the Annie Armstrong Easter “Here Am I, Send Me” – The Next Step Offering will be used. It was good to see some in attendance who had been missing for a while. We loved it!
This week, on Wednesday, April 13, at 7 p.m., Pastor Glenn Forman will present a scripture and commentary on prayer, followed by the weekly interactive prayer service.
Also, at 7 p.m. each Wednesday, Mrs. Kristy Schott leads the “Patch the Pirate Club” (PPC). PPC is for children from age 4- 12. In PPC children sing songs, participate an age appropriate Bible study, and other Bible activities. Mrs. Kristy Schott is assisted by Mrs. Virginia Rivers.
This Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., the Youth Group is meeting at the church for a brief Bible Study before heading to Hilltop Cafe & Mini Golf. Bro. Ron Schott leads the Youth Group and he is assisted by Bro. Alan Larson.
On Sunday, April 17, all are invited to participate in age graded Bible Study through our Sunday School. Sunday School begins each week at 9:30 a.m. Morning Worship begins at 10:45 a.m.
Each Sunday, our pastor brings a challenging message straight from the Bible. Singing during the worship service will feature songs from the hymn book led by Mrs. Kristy Schott. This Sunday morning, Mrs. Beverly LaRue will bring special music prior to the message.
On Sunday evening at 6 p.m., Pastor Forman will bring an inspiring message. Special music will be presented by Josiah Schott before the evening message. GA’s will also meet at 6 p.m. The GA’s are led by Mrs. Valory Wright.  On April 17, after Sunday evening services, the deacons will gather for their monthly leadership session.
On Monday, April 18, all seniors are invited to “Friendship Circle” a carry-in supper at 6 p.m. Bring a dish and come and enjoy the joy of sharing across the table from Christian friends.
