The Farber Evening Lions Club hosted an official Hunter Safety Course, presented by representatives from the Department of Conservation on Saturday, September 13 at the Farber Community Building.
Audrain County Conservation Agent Norman Steelman, Pike County Conservation Agent Mike Christensen, Hunter Education Instructor Mike Trammell, and Jim Bradford taught the course from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
There were 44 area residents who graduated from the two part course that featured items in a provided book along with hands on training.
The course was free and the Lions Club hosted the event and provided food for the attendees.
Plans include another course in Pike County on October 11 and another in either January or February.
