Several events are officially scheduled for the upcoming two-day Farber Fun Fest August 4-5 at Sportsman Park.
A Power Wheels Demo Derby opens this year’s event on day one for kids up to 8 years old. It will be held from 5-9 p.m.
At 5:30 p.m., registration begins for those kids ages 3-5 for the Little Mr. and Little Miss Contest. The event starts at 6 p.m. Lynn Flowers is the contact person for this year’s contest.
At 6:30 p.m., an Ice Cream Social will be held under the pavilion.
Starting at 7 p.m., the Missouri Farm Pullers will begin entertaining the crowd.
Tractor classes include 8 MPH (6500#, 7500#, 8500#, 9500#, 10500#, 11500#, 12500#); 10 MPH (6500#, 7500#); 12.5 MPH (8500#, 9500#, 10500#, 11500#, 12500#); and 4 Wheel Drive Truck (6200#).

A Lucky Party will be held at 7 p.m.. Lynn Flowers is the contact person.
The food stand opens at 5:30 p.m. and a 50/50 raffle will be held at 9 p.m. Those with raffle tickets must be present to win.
On Saturday, a Pet Show starts day two at 9 a.m. at Railroad Park. Kristina Sharp is the contact person.
The Baby Show follows at 10 a.m. under the pavilion for kids ages 0-36 months. Registration starts at 9 a.m.
It will be followed by a Baby Doll Show.
Lynn Flowers is the contact person for both events.
At 11 a.m., the Sand Volleyball Co-ed Tournament begins under the direction of Benny Burnett.
Registration is at 10:30 a.m. for the 11 a.m. Pedal Tractor Pull with event organizers Paul and Cindy Evans.
Tricycle Races will follow as tricycles will be provided. Both events will be held on the street in front of Sportsman Park.
An Egg Drop will follow the final races with Michael Evans.
At 1 p.m., a Horseshoe Tournament starts. Kevin Williams is the chairperson.
The Washer Tournament starts at the same time through the guidance of Derek Kuda.
Also at 1 p.m., the Garden Tractor Pullers of Mid-Missouri Association begins their afternoon.
Events will be held for stock, outlaw, hot stock, super stock, motorcycles, mini rods, and modifieds. For more information, call Eddie Heffner at 573-470-6717.
An Open House at the Farber Library starts at 2 p.m.
Safe Kids fun for those ages birth to 5 and 6-12 will take place from 3-5 p.m. with Brandie Gay.
Heather Null will lead a Cake Walk at 4 p.m.
The Farber Fire Department will have a Candy Toss at 5 p.m. The Fish Fry Supper starts at the same time.
“Country Fever” starts the live music from 6-7:30 p.m. as the Car, Truck, Motorcycle Cruise-in and Poker Run starts at 6 p.m. The vehicle event is led by Derek and Amy Kuda.
“meZmer” will end the busy day with live music starting at 8 p.m.
The food stand will be opened and proceeds benefit community projects. Raffles will be held at 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. and folks must be present to win.
Bounce houses and vendors will be at the event all day long.
Event organizers encourage folks to bring their lawn chairs and stay for the whole weekend.
