Farber enjoys Fun Fest

Farber hosted its “One For The Books” Farber Fun Fest August 5-6. Farber librarian Vernelle Hull was recognized with a key to the city for her more than 50 years of service and dedication during a special presentation made by City of Farber Alderperson Lynn Flowers. In spite of both tractor pull events being canceled due to rain, several contests and activities went on as planned.
The Lucky Party was held on day one along with an Ice Cream Social.
On day two, a 5K Color Run/Mile Walk was held. There was also an Open House at the library, kids games, candy toss, cake walk, fish fry supper, and live music from “King Benny.”

Little Mr Eric Joiner, son of Lisa Joiner, of Vandalia, and Little Miss Kinley Kuda, daughter of Derek and Amy Kuda, of Vandalia. For Little Mr., second place went to Kaden Crenshaw, son of Lisa Joiner and Arron Crenshaw, of Vandalia. As for Little Miss, second place went to Alexis Elliott, daughter of Tasha Lennox and Jason Elliott, of Vandalia. Third place was Lucy Riechmann, daughter of Lacy and Jason Riechmann, of Paris.
