The Board of Aldermen of the City of Farber, Audrain County, Mo., met in regular session at City Hall in the City of Farber, Mo., at 5 p.m. on Monday, March 11 with the following members present: Mayor John Hodde, Alderpersons: Ronald Greenplate, Lynn Flowers, Tony Shade, and Marie Bounds, City Clerk.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as presented. The listing of Accounts Payable was presented and approved.
Anna Flowers, representative of the Farber Housing Board, was present to ask the board if anything could be done to obliterate standing water between the Housing Apartments and the ballfield. The Mayor said the City would have Andrew Gaw shoot it and have the ditch dug deeper where needed.
Susan Paden was present to state that she is running for office of Eastern County Commissioner.
Byron Shaw, P.E. of MECO Engineering Company, was present to discuss the application of a DNR engineering grant to study the inflow of the sewer system. The board gave approval for Scott Allen to file the application.
Mowing bids were received from Stathem Lawncare-$280, Randy Whetstine-$315, and Mickey Mink-$245. A motion was made, seconded, and carried to award the bid for all sites to Mickey Mink.
Alderperson Flowers reported the work done in the Community Building. Thanks were given to all who volunteered their labor and time. The floor is to be laid the last week of March. Alderman Greenplate will order more mosquito spray.
