Children from the Farber Presbyterian Church will host a holiday breakfast from 7:30-9 a.m. on Sunday, December 11 to raise money for their Christmas charity. The children use the proceeds from this annual event to purchase gifts for families through the area Angel Tree program. After breakfast, the children will present a short program during worship, which begins at 9 a.m. Brandie (Stubblefield) Gay coordinates the children’s program at the church.
“Programs like the Angel Tree help children learn the importance of giving,” said the Reverend Dana Slavin, pastor at Farber Presbyterian Church. Reverend Slavin will offer a sermon series, “The Journey: Walking the Road to Bethlehem” at Farber Presbyterian Church beginning this Sunday, November 27. For those wanting to delve deeper into the story, Reverend Slavin will also lead an informal group after worship the first three Sundays in December. This series, Slavin said, is based on the best-selling book by the same name.
