Eugene Gaddie, of Fresno, Calif., formerly of Bowling Green, Mo., died at his home on March 11, 2013.
He was born in Menard County, Illinois and moved to Missouri when he was 3 years old. His parents were Lyle and Mary Gaddie.
He was in the Air Force from January 1943-December 1945.
He was an airplane mechanic and crew chief. Most of his time was spent in the South Pacific.
He later joined the Air National Guard and when he retired he was the oldest crew chief in the Air Force.
He liked to hunt and fish and made annual trips to northern California for over 30 years.
He is survived by a daughter Lorrie and son Greg; one sister Juanita and husband Lloyd R. Carr; one sister-in-law Betty Gaddie, all of Vandalia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Norine, and brother James Thomas.
