Emerson Griggs, of Yuma, Arizona, passed away July 16, 2015, he was 79 years old. Mr. Griggs was born March 2, 1936 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Harvey and Susie Dinwiddie Griggs.
He was a 1955 graduate of Van-Far High School in Vandalia, Missouri.
He married Anna Lucille Hollicker on November 1, 1975 in Cole County, Missouri and she survives. He retired from MO Lottery as a G-Tech Vendor, he had also worked as a sheet metal worker. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 43 in Jefferson City.
Funeral Services were held at Robinson Funeral Home on Friday July 24, 2015 at 2 p.m.
Burial followed in the New Salem Cemetery in Ashland. Visitation was held one hour prior to funeral.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Griggs, of Yuma, Arizona; four children, Tim Patterson, of Jefferson City; Teresa (Stan) Thomas, of Columbia; Jeffrey Davis, of Georgia; and Jennifer (Travis) Schulte, of Fulton; two sisters, Irma (Ronnie) Teague, of Branson; and Addie Kay Day of Moses Lake, Washington; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
