Elaine Jannette (Jan) McDonald Blackburn, 57, passed,
away unexpectedly May 4, 2014 at her home in Cabool.
She was born in Louisiana to the late
Virgil McDonald and Opal (Day) McDonald on Sept. 30 1956. She married Ed (Bronco) Blackburn on Sept. 30, 1988 in Oklahoma.
She is survived by her husband of Cabool, her mother, Opal, of Bowling Green, her two sons, Izaiah Veasy and Daniel Veasy, of Norwood, a step-daughter, Ressa Blackburn, of Nixa, granddaughter, Gabriella James, and two sisters, Jeanne (Roger) Sarles, of Bowling Green, and June (Harvey) Clemens, of Ottawa, Ill.
Also surviving are several nieces, aunts, an uncle, great nieces and nephews, and lots of cousins and extended family.
Jan was preceded
in death by her father,Virgil McDonald, paternal grandparents, Sherman and Emma McDonald, and maternal grandparents, Clarence and Esta Day.
Jan was a very talented artist, proficient at any craft, and a truly
wonderful wife, daughter, mother, sister, and friend.
A private family ceremony celebrating her life was held on Saturday, May 10 at the Louisville cemetery and
a celebration was held at the residence of her sister and husband, Jeanne and Roger Sarles, of Bowling Green.
