Eileen Marie Brown, 86, of Grain Valley, passed away, Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Lee’s Summit Pointe.
Services were at 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 2, at the Faith United Methodist Church, in Grain Valley. Burial was in Floral Hills Cemetery.
The family greeted friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday at the church.
She was born March 25, 1928, in Pike County to Joseph A. and Dessie B. (Page) Betts.
She worked as a real estate agent for 30 years for Gaslight Realty until she retired in 2000.
She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed crocheting, going to the casinos, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, the Red Hat Society, United Methodist Women and the Real Estate Board.
She is survived by her three sons, Larry Brown and wife Mary, David Brown and wife Susan, all of Oak Grove, and Greg Brown and wife Laylee of Independence; two sisters, Pauline Grant of Vandalia, and Willene Gamm of Bowling Green; brother, Bill Betts of Bowling Green; a niece, June Berry and her family of Tightwad; nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
