The Center for Management and Professional Development in The Office of Administration’s Division of Personnel announces Edna Berry as the November 2014 Missouri State Employee of the Month. Berry, a Registered Nurse, is employed with the Department of Corrections.
Through Ms. Berry’s contributions as Employee Health Nurse to both the Northeast Correctional Center and Women’s Eastern Reception and Diagnostic Center in Vandalia, vital immunizations were provided to the staff, reducing the potential for transmission of an extremely contagious respiratory infection into the community. In addition, her efforts amount to thousands of dollars in departmental savings.
“I am proud to recognize Edna Berry’s initiative and considerable contributions to the Department of Corrections,” Division of Personnel Director Nancy Johnston said, “and she is a shining example of our most dedicated State employees.”
Ms. Berry was selected from seven other nominees by a six-member committee comprised of Missouri State Training Advisory Council (STAC) members.
