Drug arrest made in Mexico

Untitled-3During the late evening hours of April 2, 2014, the East Central Drug Task Force assisted by the Audrain County Sheriff‘s Office and Missouri State Highway Patrol served a search warrant in the 1500 Block of Audrain County Road 9906.
As a result of the search warrant officers seized methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
One suspect was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jeffrey Scott Clayton, age 28, of Mexico.  Clayton’s bond is set at $15,000
The East Central Drug Task Force was organized in 2001 and serves the cities of Bowling Green, Mexico, Montgomery City, Vandalia and Warrenton, the counties of Audrain, Montgomery and Warren, along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.  Anyone having information concerning illegal drug activity is urged to contact the East Central Drug Task Force at 573-473-5801, extension 330 or Audrain County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-TIPS.
