Dorothy Elizabeth Dameron

Dorothy Elizabeth Dameron, age 90 of Bowling Green, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Moore-Pike Nursing Home in Bowling Green.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bowling Green Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Ken Harper and Rev. Wes Phillips officiating.  Burial will be in the Bowling Green Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Church.
Dorothy was born Feb. 28, 1925 in Louisiana, the daughter of Ray and Olive Annie Bagley Houchins.  On Dec. 24, 1941, in Annada, she married Delmar Dameron.  He preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 1993.
Survivors include son Tom Dameron (Cheryl) of Jackson; daughter Vicki Bealmear (David) of Vandalia; grandchildren Michael Dameron, Scott Dameron, Joe Dameron, Tim Dameron, Jason Dameron, Brian Dameron, Matthew Dameron, Brandon Bealmear, Missy Woodside, Keri Price, Sara Baker, and Bethany Bealmear; 26 great-grandchildren; brother Glenn Houchins (Glenna) of New London; daughter-in-laws Sharon and Ruth Dameron; many nieces and nephews, and special niece Mary Lee Hopke.  She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Janie Dameron, sons Joe and Mike Dameron, brothers Gene and Jay Houchins, sister Fay Wertz, and great-granddaughter Elizabeth Grace Woodside.
Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, working puzzle books, reading, gardening and cooking for her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, and watching “The Wheel of Fortune” and “The Price is Right.”  She was a member of the Bowling Green Church of the Nazarene.
Serving as pallbearers will be the grandchildren.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Woodson, Mark Houchins, Don Moran, and Cecil W. Pew.
Memorials may be made to Bowling Green Church of the Nazarene or Gideons International.
