Darwin (Buford) D. Lewis, 78, Hamilton, Mo., passed away on December 15, 2014, at the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home, Hamilton.
Darwin was born on August 31, 1936, in Corso, Mo., to George C. Lewis and Leona Imogene May Lewis. He spent his boyhood years in Vandalia, Mo.
Darwin had served our country in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired union roofer working in Kansas City. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles-Aerie No. 3717, and the Union Roofers Local No. 20.
Darwin was preceded in death by both of his parents; brother, Gerald C. Lewis; and a son, Darren Dale Lewis.
Survivors include his daughter, Tambi Lee Lewis, Memphis, Tenn.; sons, Darwin Lewis, II, Hamilton; and Erik Lynnes, Kansas City; brother, Berwyn Lewis, Vandalia, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Darwin was a loving father, family member, and friend.
Darwin’s cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.
Family & Friends Gathering was held from 1-2:30 p.m., Sunday, December 21, at the Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.
