Darline C. Rutherford, age 90, of Curryville, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, June 17, at the Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. Randall Cone and Elder Mary Waddell officiating. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday, 5-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
She was born Sept. 19, 1924 in Corso, the daughter of John Gilbert and Lena Avoca Baker Green. She married Harold W. Rutherford on Nov. 18, 1945 in the home of Rev. Mitchell in Bowling Green. He preceded her in death Aug. 12, 2011.
Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Kay Morff (Roger) of Jefferson City, and Sandra Jo Edmond (Jerry) of Taylor; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Shelley Kell (Shawn), Alicia Blackford (Eric) and sons Corbin and Samuel, Sarah Richter (David) and daughters Hannah and Ava, Brent Edmond, son Lathyn and daughter Cedelia Edmond.
Darline was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother Bert Green.
Darline was a lifelong resident of Pike County where she farmed with her husband. She was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church until its closing and then was a member of Curryville Presbyterian. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, cooking for her family and enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren brought smiles to her face and she spent many moments remembering their special expressions or sayings.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brent Edmond, David Richter, Shawn Kell, Eric Blackford, Jim Green and Jim Rose. Honorary pallbearers will be Shelley Kell, Alicia Blackford, Sarah Richter, Roy Dietle, Bob Thompson, James R. Willis and Terry V. Willis.
Memorials may be made to the Curryville Presbyterian Church or Concord Cemetery.
