Evelyn Goodrich Trickel, of Trenton, Mo., was guest speaker at the annual Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Friends and Family Night held on Thursday, November 2 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Vandalia. Trickel is the co-author of “We are a Part of History: The Story of the Orphan Trains,” “The Orphan Trains to Missouri,” the two-volume “History of Grundy County,” and “A Pictorial of the History of Grundy County.”
Also during the evening, Joy Hoyt, having received her acceptance letter from the DAR National registry, was inducted into the DAR by Regent Muriel Beshears.
