Vandalia’s Dairy Queen celebrated the 10th Miracle Treat Day with several activities to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
TJ the Tiger, the mascot for the University of Missouri Women’s and Children’s Hospital, visited Dairy Queen from 2-3 p.m. and 6-7 p.m.
During the same early afternoon time slot, local emergency officials brought an ambulance, fire truck, and police cruiser to offer tours to those in attendance.
Balloons and CMN bracelets were also for sale.
Now in its 10th year, Miracle Treat Day brings awareness and raises funds for CMN Hospitals in local communities.  One in 10 children in North America is treated at CMN Hospitals each year. For every Blizzard® Treat sold on Miracle Treat Day at the local DQ Grill & Chill, proceeds (blizzard cost minus cost of goods) were donated to University of Missouri Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Callie Swank reported 412 blizzards sold on Miracle Treat Day.
