Aquanha Corpening was recently honored during her basketball team’s game for her academic accomplishments as a member of the Columbia College women’s squad. Corpening received the “A” Honor Roll Athlete Award. She is currently a sophomore and has been playing basketball since Jr. High School (grades 6-8).
Before joining the two year college program, she played four years at Hickman High School and is known to enjoy sports.
Corpening is the daughter of Paul and Sherry (Greene) Corpening of Columbia, Mo.
She is also the granddaughter of Ronnie and Opal Green, of Vandalia, Mo. along with Kenneth and Doris Corpening of North Carolina.
She has two sisters, Annie and Paulette as well as two nieces, Faith and Detriann’a, all of Columbia, Mo.
