Community R6 celebrates Homecoming

Community R6 celebrated its Homecoming last week with spirit days, games and a Lady Trojans victory over Pilot Grove.

The theme of Homecoming centered on coming home and focused on a travel angle.  Each class picked a state to reflect in their activities like the float, cake and banners. Spirit days included pajama day, dress like a tourist and Trojan gear.

After both games, the school crowned a Homecoming queen and king, voted on by the student body. The winners were seniors Emily Hoyt and Landon Wright.

The court includes, from left to right: freshman queen candidate Alyssa Beamer; sophomore queen candidate Ivy Hays; junior queen candidate Paige Meyer; last year’s homecoming queen Deann Brooks; homecoming queen Emily Hoyt; homecoming king Landon Wright; last year’s homecoming king Austin Taylor; junior king candidate Kaden Brooks; sophomore king candidate Pacey Cope; and freshman king candidate Dylan Hoyt.
