Community R-VI holds concert

Community R-VI celebrated the arts last Friday night when they hosted a combination Art Show and Concert event.
The 6th Grade Choir opened with their performance of “Titanium.”
The Middle School Choir then performed “Touch the Sky” and  “When We Are Singing A Song.”
The Junior High Choir sang “Soldier Arranged.”
Community R-VI’s 7th-12th Grade Choir performed “Ain’t No Sunshine,” “Festival Sanctus,” and “As Long As You Love Me/Wide Awake.”
Teacher Eva Eikel gave awards to the entire choir for a “2” rating at the District Music Festival.
Lakin Davenport, Curtis Leirheimer, and Bianca Dunmire were recognized for a “2” rating with their vocal solos at the district event.
Outstanding Vocal Student awards went to Bethany Schmidt (Middle School) along with Bianca Dunmire and Curtis Leirheimer (High School).
Darla Deimeke Community R–VI Art Teacher announced  by categories the winners of the 2013-14 Art Show.
