The Trojans boys basketball team has a new coach that will be leading the charge. Coach Kenneth Jett has been coaching and teaching for 16 years. Jett has served in the La Plata R-II, Madison C-III, and Breckenridge R-I school districts. Jett will be assisted by coach Michael Smith.
“Defensively, we have good quickness and a good understanding of the game. Our weakness would be our untested post defense,” Jett said.
While Justin Durham and Sean Wilson graduated last year, Lane Thebeau, Clay Thebeau, Conner Brooks Kaleb Harris Shane Myers, and Kyle Curtis are returning players. Guard Lane Thebeau was named second team, all-conference last season.
“Offensively, we have seven players who can have a big night. However, no true power game to go to right now,” Jett said.
The Trojans’ season ended last year after an overtime loss in the district finals.
