Class of 1954 holds 60 year reunion

The Vandalia High School Class of 1954 met for their 60-year class reunion on September 13. The celebration began with an informal “meet and greet” at the Perry Junction, followed by a superb dinner.
Thirteen of the original 28 graduates paid their respects to deceased classmates Suzie Potter, Lamar Williams, Bill Wayne Smith, and Randell Hudson. Letters were read from those classmates unable to attend. Those attending were Don and Delores Bass, Laddonia; John and Barbara (Meyers) Bergthold, Perry; Yvonne (Welch) Kline, Tampa, Fla.; Jerry and Janie Maxwell, Mexico; Dorothy (Seeley) Moore, Auxvasse; David Schulze, Florissant, Mo.; Larry Shaw, Des Moines, Iowa; Ron and Alice Talbert, Fayetteville, Ark.; Ron and Linda Tate, House Springs, Mo.; Alan and Deanna Williams, Quincy, Ill.; Jerry and Marilyn Breneman, Harold and Martha Libby, Donley and Shirley Morris, Donald and Norita Morris, Lee Smith and Delores Pearson, all of Vandalia.
