The Farber Board of Aldermen met in regular session at Farber City Hall at 5 p.m. on Monday, September 12. The following members were present: John Hodde, mayor; Ronald Greenplate, Lynn Flowers, Tony Shade, alderpersons; and Marie Bounds, city clerk. Others present were Justin Franke, Professional Engineer Byron Shaw and Attorney Jim Burlison.
The minutes of the previous meeting was approved as presented. The listing of Accounts Payable was presented and approved.
Professional Engineer Byron Shaw, from MECO Engineering Company, was present to explain the steps needed to procure an engineer for eligibility to receive funding from the Small Community Engineering Assistance Program.
Justin Franke applied and was approved for a Business License for “Oak Street Wood and Steel.”
An ordinance was presented and approved assessing $6 additional court costs for the Peace Officer Training Fund, Domestic Violence Shelters, and for the Inmate Prisoner Detainee Security Fund.
An ordinance was presented and approved adopting the 2016-2017 annual budget. A motion was made, seconded and carried engaging Wade, Stables P.C., of Hannibal, to conduct the audit for the fiscal year 2015-2016.
Andrew Gaw, of Advanced Trenching and Construction, has begun some repairs for the Water and Sewer Department.
Since the next regular meeting date is a holiday, the October meeting will be on Wednesday, October 12.
