City of Farber approves licenses

The Board of Aldermen of the City of Farber, Audrain County, Mo., met in regular session at City Hall in the City of Farber, Mo., at 5 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2013, with the following members present: Mayor John Hodde, Alderpersons Lynn Flowers, Ronald Greenplate, Gary Stubblefield, Tony Shade, and Marie Bounds, City Clerk.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as presented. The listing of Accounts Payable was presented and approved.
Motions were made and carried to approve business licenses to Basinger Fireworks, ARM Security for door to door sales, and to Vivint, Inc. for installation of security systems. Derek Kuda was present to obtain a business license for Kuda’s Auto Repair on Shotwell Street. He was told before the license could be approved, the neighbors would have to be polled because of the zoning law.
A letter was read from Attorney Jim Burlison turning over the City Attorney duties to Attorney Dean Gallego, his associate.
John Becker was present to discuss the condition of the irrigation system. It was decided to utilize only one pivot and to repair it for the cost of approximately $6,600.
Scott Allen, Water/Wastewater Superintendent said the pump at the lift station needs repair. He was given permission to call VanDevanter Engineering.
The City Clerk was told to order two loads of gravel.
The meeting was adjourned until 5 p.m. on June 10.
