Several members of the Vandalia community gathered to discuss their concerns in town as part of the Citizen Action Team (C.A.T.) meeting held last Wednesday inside the Lange Building.
A long list of topics were discussed, which include dog call response, dangerous dogs, stop signs, community policing/neighborhood watch, police cruiser speeds in neighborhoods, better communication with the public, officer retention, meeting children, tickets given to young drivers, loud noise tickets, pedestrians obstructing traffic, and speed increase on Highway 54.
The C.A.T. meeting provides the public an opportunity to express concerns about the community, how the police department can best serve the community, and more.
