Church Updates

The following churches sent updates of their weekly schedule:
• Vandalia First Presbyterian Church will have Bell practice at 4:30 p.m. followed by Chancel Choir practice on Wednesday, September 14.
On Thursday, September 15 at 7 p.m. the Ruth Circle will meet at Tri-County Care Center.
On Sunday, September 18 at 9 a.m., Sunday School will take place followed at 10 a.m. by Worship with the Reverend Joel Montgomery. The Ushers for Sunday will be Alan Adam and Dalton Buie. The Greeters will be P.A. and Judy Hull.
On Wednesday, September 21, KidzConnect resumes from 2-4 p.m., for “early out” school days.
• Vandalia United Methodist Church’s Sewing Group will meet on Thursday, September 15 at 1 p.m. Following that, at 5:30 p.m. will be the Registration Night to join Boy Scouts.
The Supper Club will be at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 17.
On Sunday, September 18, Sunday School will take place at 8:45 a.m. followed at 10 a.m. by “National Back to Church” Worship.
On Tuesday, September 20, the TOPS meeting will be at 5 p.m. and the Cub Scout meeting will follow at 6:45 p.m.
• New Harmony Christian Church will host the Annual Fish Fry and Homecoming on Sunday, September 18 following morning worship services and Sunday School classes. The carry-in meal will begin at noon. Everyone is invited to attend.
Plans are underway for a Revival to be held at the church October 6-9. Services will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday-Saturday evenings with Greg Wyble speaking on Thursday evening, the Reverend Beau Underwood from the Christian Church in Jefferson City speaking on Friday evening, and the Reverend Linda Chenoweth speaking on Saturday evening. Reverend Chenoweth will also be leading the worship service on Sunday morning, October 9 with a carry-in dinner to follow. JoAnn Raney will be the song leader for each service. Everyone is invited to join us for any and all services. The Bowling Green Christian Church and New Harmony Christian Church will celebrate World Communion Sunday on October 2 by worshipping together at the Bowling Green Church. Service will begin at 10:45 a.m. with a carry-in meal to follow the morning worship service.
