Third graders in Melissa Orr’s classroom at Van-Far Elementary School have decided to help a former classmate, Trinton Kasper, who has been diagnosed with Leukemia.
Trinton now lives with his grandmother in Laddonia, but has kept in touch with the class.
The class is collecting spare change during the week of October 5-9 in both the elementary and high school buildings.
The class has researched Leukemia and will be educating students and staff about the childhood disease and how others can help with daily announcements.
All proceeds from the collection will be used to purchase Trinton a bicycle. Any additional funds will be donated to Cancer Research in honor of Trinton.
