The Annual Cemetery Association at New Harmony Christian Church meeting was held on Sunday, June 25 following regular morning services.
A carry-in meal was enjoyed prior to the Memorial Service held on the cemetery grounds. During the service, the Reverend Laura Beth Zeh shared thoughts and stories regarding the 41 veterans buried at New Harmony, including 15 veterans from the Civil War. David Zeh read the names of those veterans. The VFW Post from Bowling Green was present and participated in the service.
In addition, they donated the love gift presented to them by the church back to the Well Fund that has been established.
The church family appreciates their service, their participation, and their generosity in “giving back” to this mission work. Anyone desiring to make donations for the upkeep of the cemetery may send same to Marion Branstetter, 6219 Pike 9, Frankford, Mo. 63441.
