Laddonia area residents along with staff and students from Community R-VI joined together for a pair of touching tributes last week in honor of the late Trinton Kasper, who passed away on February 3, just one day before his 9th birthday. Kasper died less than a year from being diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, which was diagnosed in late August 2015.
Community R-VI students and staff went outside the morning of his birthday to launch balloons in his honor.
Later that afternoon, about 160
balloons were let go at Laddonia City Park by area residents.
On Friday night, the Community R-VI girls basketball team wore yellow T-shirts with his name on them during warm-ups to show their support.
A service has yet to be scheduled but will be arranged by Pickering Funeral Home.
