THEY'RE BLUE. THEY'RE JEANS
The Old Navy store was crowded. Blue jeans hung from every wall and flanked the perimeter in identical slouched inattention. I twirled around, taking in the sight.

WHAT'S IN A NAME
When you have more than one child, it becomes difficult to remember their names. Oh, you know who’s who. And it is easy to pick them out in a crowd of other kids: “mine…mine…not mine…looks like mine…etc.”

NOTICE THE KINDNESS AROUND YOU
I sometimes think our world is not as kind as it used to be. But once in a while, if you’re lucky, you encounter someone who reminds you how we should treat each other. If you do, please take the time to notice.

WHEN PLAY WAS WILD AND FREE
