The Hannibal Area Chamber of Commerce and the Missouri Job Center in Hannibal, along with the Northeast Missouri Workforce Investment Board, Hannibal Parks and Recreation, Moberly Area Community College and Town Square Media, will host the Mark Twain Area Career Expo and Veterans’ Resource Fair on Thursday, October 13. The event will take place at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center, 301 Warren Barrett Drive, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. There is no charge to attend the event.
“Whether you are seeking new employment or better employment, full time or part-time, job seekers, as well as veterans, are encouraged to save the date and make plans to attend the Career Expo.
Representatives from the Missouri Job Center will be on hand to explain Job Center services that could help customers put together impressive resumes, master interview skills, connect with veterans’ resources, or earn a credential that local employers are looking for, the National Career Readiness Certificate,” said McKenzie Disselhorst, Executive Director of the Hannibal Area Chamber of Commerce. “More than 40 area employers will be represented, in addition to several booths with service agencies and resources for both veteran and non-veteran job seekers.”
