Kathryn Noel Calcaterra and Kurt Nelson Peloquin were married on June 15, 2014 at Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, N.Y.
The service was officiated by the couple’s close friend Colin Sims.
The bride is the daughter of Ruth and Dennis Calcaterra of Vandalia, Mo. She is the granddaughter of Mary Jane Lane and the late Noel P. Lane of Edwardsville, Ill. and of Grace Calcaterra and the late Attilio Calcaterra of Herrin, Ill.
The groom is the son of Susan and Paul Peloquin of Cortlandt Manor, N.Y. He is the grandson of Charles Nelson and the late Gladys Nelson of Johnston, R.I. and of the late Alice and Lucien Peloquin.
The bride’s father escorted her down the aisle. She wore an off the shoulder vintage gown from the year 1956. The dress was inset with her grandmother Mary Jane Lane’s vintage lace and she wore her grandma Grace Calcaterra’s pearl necklace. She carried a bouquet of pink and cream peonies accented with locally grown wild flowers. The men in the wedding party wore “Mary Jane Lane” suspenders handmade by the bride. Cousins of the bride and mother of the bride provided the ceremony music.
The Maid of Honor was Lacey Blue. Bridesmaids were Kala Flynn, Grace Peloquin, Amy Newland and Lauren Udelhoven. The Best Man was Erik Peloquin. Groomsmen were Ted McEnaney, Sean McTernan, Brian Murphy, Tyler Phillips and Thomas Thomasian
The bride and groom honeymooned in Canada, driving from Burlington, Vt., Montreal, Quebec City to the Highlands National Park in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and back through Maine.
The couple met in 2009 while working together on a television series and the groom asked for her hand in marriage in July of 2012.
They currently reside in Brooklyn, N.Y. She is employed as a wardrobe stylist and he is employed as a media and events producer.
