Five generations of Brewsters gathered for the 40th Annual Brewster Reunion on Sunday, August 30, 2017 at the Don Brewster Farm, just east of Bowling Green.
Family members started gathering on Saturday with a meal prepared by Wayne Baker and entertainment by Butch and Byron Perron.
On Sunday, 47 family members and friends from four states gathered for a carry-in lunch, visiting, sharing family stories, and picture taking. Different family units were recognized, and shared special events: each of the five generations were recognized and remembering one of our family members Tommy Baker, who passed away this past year. We also enjoyed sharing the many different occupations that our ancestors did and what many of the family members do now.
Those in attendance were Peggy Stroker, Peggy Grote, Alice Terry, Charles McCurdy, and Gene Stroker, of Vandalia; Patsy Stroker, of St. Peters; Jan and Alan Brake, of Montgomery City; Butch and Pamela Perron, of Clinton, Iowa; Byron and Lynn Perron, Mary V. Perron, Brian, Holly, and Jordan Hoaglin, Lauren Perron, Kim Perron, Kevin and April Perron, and Tom, Ele, and Jude Shahon, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; Jimee and Vernon Johnston and Duane Johnston, of El Centro, Calif.; Wayne and Janice Baker, of Glendale, Ariz.; Vickie Robnett, of Phoenix, Ariz.; Julia Mae and Gene Taylor, of Curryville; Beverly Robbins, Ryan Robbins, and friend Kirstin, of Clarksville, Mo.; Rosalind Terry, John, and Margaret Terry, Victoria and Izzy Terry, of Columbia, Mo.; Julie Flowers, of Jefferson City; Mary Brewster, Linda Grusszka-Brewster, and Grant Gruszka, Don and Dorothy Brewster, Scott Brewster and Garrett Luebrecht, of Bowling Green.
The 2018 reunion will be held on August 12 at the Brewster Farm.
