With the new year, local State Farm Agent Mike Hebert has taken over an agency in St. Charles, Mo.
While the company searches for a replacement agent, Hebert’s office will be staffed by State Farm Agent Cindy Blaylock and her team. Cindy has an office in Louisiana, Mo., and will maintain a presence at both locations.
Cindy, who has worked for the Louisiana agency for nearly 25 years, says the change should be transparent to existing State Farm customers in Vandalia.
“We will be open five days a week at the same location (104 S. Main St.), and will continue to keep the small-town service that Vandalia is accustomed to,” she said.
Hebert is taking the St. Charles agency after the death of an agent there. He has been an agent in Vandalia since 2006 and says his existing customers will be well served. “It’s been a pleasure to serve the citizens of Vandalia,” Mike said, “Cindy will do a great job, and I know State Farm will continue to have a strong presence there for years to come.”
A new agent to replace Cindy could be officially appointed in late summer or early fall.
