Betty J. Fry, age 69, of Louisiana, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at the Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, July 21 at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green, with Rev. Charles Moore officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Bowling Green. Visitation was held  from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, July 21 at the funeral home.
Betty was born Nov. 24, 1944 in Amoret, the daughter of Cedric B. and Frances T. Tucker Hammett.
She married Robert Fry Sr. on Feb. 17, 1962 in Bowling Green.
Survivors include one  son, Marlin (Marty) Fry of Louisiana; one daughter, Diane Fry of Louisiana; one grandson, Joshua Fry of Bowling Green; one brother, Robert Hammett and wife Dola of Bowling Green; two sisters, Dorothy Motley and husband Paul of Bowling Green and Shirley Motley and husband Ray, also of   Bowling Green; and nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband,  parents, brother William Hammett Sr., and three sisters: Angie Colbert, Donnie Willmore, and Dona Allen.
Betty spent the last 40 years in Pike County  living in the Bowling Green and Louisiana area.  She was Catholic by faith.  Betty loved the St. Louis Cardinals, NASCAR,  and most of all spending time with her grandson.
Serving as pallbearers were Matthew Motley, Nicholas Motley, Ronnie Hurd, Allen Hurd, Doug Hoskins and Bill Hammett Jr.  Honorary pallbearers were William Hoskins, Katelynn Hoskins, and Emilee Hoskins.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
