Bessie Andrews, age 89, of Bowling Green, passed away Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family.  Funeral services were held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. David Land officiating.
Burial was held in the Green Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation was held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 13 at the funeral home.
Bessie was born July 18, 1925 in Stoutsville,  the daughter of James Edward and Essie Lee Scobee Littrell.  She married Louis James Andrews Sept. 30, 1950.  He survives.
Other survivors include daughters Vallie Tepen of Bowling Green and Joyce Bokor of New Bern, N.C.; grandchildren Tammy Bokor of Gardner, Kan., Angela Shelton (Jerry) of Louisiana, Steve Bokor (Julien) of New Bern, N.C., David Tepen of Bowling Green, and Tari Tepen of Ballwin; great grandchildren Tamara Crawford of Louisiana, Stephanie Crawford of Louisiana, Andrew Bokor of New Bern, N.C. and Kaden Tepen of Philadelphia; sisters Louella Patterson of Mexico and Rita Nagel of Newberg Ore.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Lucille Black and Lorena Gross;  and brothers Lloyd Littrell, James Littrell, Daniel Lee Littrell, and Milton Littrell.
Bessie resided in Bowling Green for many years.  She enjoyed bowling, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were David Tepen, Steve Bokor, Jerry Shelton, Dalton Walker, R.J. Allensworth, and James Black.
Memorials may be made to Pike County Hospice.
