Barbara Jean Foree

Services for Barbara Jean Foree, 79, of Farber, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Farber Christian Church with the Reverend Justin Franke officiating. Burial was in Laddonia Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bienhoff Funeral Home.
Mrs. Foree passed away at 12:06 a.m., July 19, 2014 at her home.
She was born June 7, 1935 in Perry, the daughter of Roy  and Edna Mae Brown Shaw.
She was married to Bobby Joe Foree on November 7, 1954 in Perry and he survives.
Other survivors include one son, Craig Foree of Vandalia; two daughters, Valerie Foree of Kailua, Hawaii, and Brenda Foree, of Vandalia; one half brother, Steven Shaw, of Montgomery City; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Marlin Foree; two brothers, Howard Eugene Shaw and Ronald Lee Shaw; and one sister, Frances Weakley.
Mrs. Foree was a lifetime area resident and homemaker.
She was a member of the Farber Christian Church.
She graduated from Perry High School in 1953.
She worked as the  Avon representative in this area for over 35 years and served as a Girl Scout leader for many years.
She was a part time librarian for Audrain County Library system.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Laddonia Cemetery Association, the Farber Christian Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
