Some Van-Far sports fans attending recent home basketball games have noticed that accomplishments earned by teams in the postseason over the last couple of years are currently not reflected with banner updates and state championship photos in and around the school’s gym.
Apparently, all of the updates are still a work in progress. Van-Far Jr./Sr. High School Principal Kim Pafford said the district received the last of the four state championship team photos last week from Lifetouch. Due to a $60 shipping cost, the school waited to have them made all together.
Van-Far’s Ag Construction class has constructed two of the four frames. There are plans to finish the final two frames and hang all four of the pictures over the Christmas break.
Banners are currently being ordered along with ones for the state championships.
Van-Far Athletic Director Kevin Baldwin said the trophies are currently up in the trophy case. He expects the banners to be available shortly after the Christmas break.
“All are in process as we speak, and are a priority of the Athletic Director office,” Baldwin added.
He was also apologetic for the projects not being where he would want them to be at this point.
