Band/Choir at districts

Van-far Band and Choir members participated in the District Contest this past weekend in Mexico.
Van-Far’s Band earned a “2”. The three adjudicators on the floor gave the band the ratings of “3-Satisfactory,” “2-Outstanding),” and “2-Outstanding.” The Sight-Reading Adjudicator gave the band a “1-Exemplary.)
The Band played “Ceremony, Chant, and Ritual,” “Rain,” and “Highlander.”
“The Band had a few bumps in their performance, but all in all we had a stellar performance” said Van-Far Band Director Alex Cucciarre. “The numbers show how that we have improved over this year by quite a lot. I’m really pleased with our work and I am looking forward to next year’s competition.”
The Choir earned a “3” at districts. The three adjudicators on the floor gave the Choir the ratings of “3-Satisfactory,” “3-Satisfactory,” and “2-Outstanding.” The Sight-Reading Adjudicator gave the Choir a “3-Satisfactory.”
The Choir sang “Thunder,” “When I Fall In Love,” and “When Joseph Was A-Walking.”
“I thought the Choir performed extremely well,” Cucciarre said. “They are much improved over past years and we can only go up from here.”
