Audrain County Health Dept. inspections

The Audrain County Health Department provides informal safe food handling training during food establishment inspections. Many violations are corrected during the inspection process. • Martinsburg Kwik Shop received an inspection score of 92 with critical violations for: Sanitizer out of range, Ready-to-eat foods hot/cold out of range, cooler, freezer exhaust fan vents need to be cleaned, and items need to be 6” off the floor.
• Casey’s, of Laddonia, received an inspection score of 95 with critical violations for: Cooler/ freezer exhaust fans need to be cleaned, temperature of potentially hazardous food out of range, and single use articles cannot be reused.
• Xpress Mart No. 6 received an inspection score of 92 with critical violations for: need back flow preventer, no Sanitizer, no soap or paper towels at hand sink, and open drain.
• Xpress Mart No. 2 received an inspection score of 100 with no critical violations.
• Dollar General, on Clark Street, received an inspection score of 93 with critical violations for: toxics above food items, backflow preventer, and high-low cleaning.
• Diva 27 received an inspection score of 96 with critical violations for: Toxics above food items and single serve items displayed improperly.
• 54 Package Store received an inspection score of 93 with a critical violation for unlabeled spray bottles.
• Casey’s, on East Liberty, received an inspection score of 100 with no critical violations.
• Pizza Hut, of Mexico, received an inspection score of 100 with no critical violations.
• Jackson Street Diner received an inspection score of 94 with critical violations for: food storage protected from contamination, and smooth/durable/easily cleanable for areas where food operations are conducted.
• Abel’s Shell  Quick Shop,  of Vandalia, received an inspection score of 92 with critical violations for sanitizer too strong (cos), unmarked Chemical (cos), and date marking.
• Summer Foods Methodist Church, of Mexico, received a “Pass” on inspection of all pre-packaged items.
• China King received an inspection score of 92 with critical violations for date marking, can opener soiled, insufficient sanitizer, and utensils improperly stored.
• Pick-A-Dilly received an inspection score of 100 with no critical violations.
• Aussie Outback and Down Under LLC, received an inspection score of 98 with critical violations for handwashing signage needed and self-closing doors on the rest rooms.
