Area residents are set for the 2018 Audrain County 4-H and Youth Fair set to begin this Friday, July 20 and run through Tuesday, July 24.
Night one features check-ins and set ups for FFA Chapters, 4-H Fair booths, 4-H Project Exhibits, conference judging, along with Country Cured Ham and bacon check-ins.
The Fair Royalty Coronation will take place at 7 p.m. in the pavilion.
The Bull Ride and Barrell Bash starts at 7 p.m.
The “Thunderbirds” will also hold a concert in the pavilion at 5:30 p.m.
On day two, a ham breakfast kicks things off from 7:30-10 a.m.
A Children’s Barnyard Display will be featured in the small animal barn from 8:30-10 a.m. followed by the Barnyard Challenge and Small Animal Show.
A “Run for the Bonus” barrel race with trainers starts at 9 a.m. followed by the Dog Show in the pavilion at 10:30 a.m.
The Rabbit Show is at 11:30 a.m. in the small animal barn.
The remainder of the day features the Open Big Veggie Contest in the livestock complex at 2 p.m. A 4 p.m. Open Photography Show along with a Beef Show at the same time. Mexico’s FFA Blue and Gold Supporters Cow Patty Bingo also takes place at 4 p.m.
The Garden Tractor and Antique Tractor Pull ends the evening with an event starting at 6 p.m.
A 7:30-9:30 a.m. pancake and sausage breakfast opens day three.
Church services for Sunday will be at 10 a.m. in the livestock complex.
The Poultry Show will be in the small animal barn at 10:30 a.m. followed by a 11 a.m. Goat Show in the livestock complex.
At 1 p.m., the Pedal Tractor Pull starts in the pavilion.
The 2018 Little Mr. and Miss Audrain 4-H Fair contest is 2 p.m. in the Exhibit Hall followed by the 3 p.m. Baby Show in the same location.
A Sheep Show opens at 3 p.m. in the livestock complex.
On Monday, July 23, the Swine Show will start at 11 p.m. in the livestock complex.
A Horse Show follows at 6 p.m. in the arena.
This year’s Super Farmer’s Contest will start at 6:30 p.m. in the livestock complex.
Events for the final day of the Fair start with the Livestock Judging Contest.
Ham pictures will be taken in the pavilion at 2 p.m. and livestock sale photos will be taken at 2:30 p.m. in the livestock complex.
A Foundation BBQ dinner will be held from 4-6:30 p.m. in the Exhibit Hall.
The Livestock/Ham Sale starts at 6:30 p.m.
Food stand hours, through the direction of the 4-H, will be 4-10 p.m. on July 21, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. on July 21, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. on July 22, 8 a.m.-10 p.m. on July 23, and 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. on July 24.
