After pleading guilty to two felony charges on Wednesday, November 14 in Ralls County Court, Arnold Pargeon, age 51, of Vandalia, Mo., received 12 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
According to the Office of State Courts, Pargeon was sentenced to seven years for second-degree felony domestic assault to be served consecutively with an additional five year sentence for felonious restraint.
Pargeon was originally charged with second-degree attempted murder, domestic assault, and felonious restraint when the Ralls County Sheriff’s Department arrested him on Monday, September 24 in Perry.
According to an official probable cause statement, deputies from the Ralls County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a domestic disturbance call that Monday and heard a woman screaming for help from inside her residence.
Upon entry the deputies found Pargeon with a white female.
According to the statement, the woman reported Pargeon had assaulted her, at which time he was arrested and issued a $500,000 cash-only bond.
