The Audrain Medical Center Board of Trustees met Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 11 a.m.
In the President’s report, Mr. Neuendorf provided the hospital update. The Joint Commission was at AMC last week for their triennial survey.
The survey went very well and there were very few findings. The surveyors were impressed with the facility because of the unique array of services it provides.
According to meeting minutes, three new board members have been appointed to the governing board of the hospital.
They are Richard Mayson, Dr. Stephen Stewart, and Jo Ann Thomas.
The annual Doctor’s Day Celebration was held the day of the meeting (March 27) honoring our physicians.
Seven physicians were recognized for their years of service.
AMC will celebrate its first anniversary with SSM on Thursday, April 3 from 2-4 p.m. in the hospital cafeteria. Trustees were invited to attend.
Hot water heaters are scheduled to be replaced in Stribling House.
There may be a couple days without hot water when the replacement occurs.
Employees will be completing an Employee Partnership Survey in April.
In new business, a Guidelines Policy for the Board of Trustees Actions was reviewed. Its purpose is to define and provide guidelines for actions by the trustees.
Dave Neuendorf reviewed the February Audrain County Hospital financials.
Dr. Peter Perll reported that he, David Neuendorf, and David Schulte toured the GI lab area where a new equipment washing area is being installed.
An Open House will be held at a later date.
The group then toured the storage area on the fourth floor in the 1995 addition.
The area is large and well organized.
While on the fourth floor the group viewed the roof of the old 1931 nurses building.
An overlay will be put on the roof of that building to prevent water from leaking into one of the other buildings it is attached to.
