Community R-VI’s golfers continue to make a name for themselves after having another strong performance at a match in Monroe City last week.
Though the squad didn’t have the needed four golfers for team scores, three Trojans beat Monroe City’s top three golfers in the contest by five strokes.
Bryan Allen was the medalist in the nine-hole match after he shot a low score of a 47. Treyton Kobush and Trever Hoyt also had solid scores though they were not provided to The Vandalia Leader by press time.
“Given that it was very windy, the boys golfed considerably well,” said Community R-VI head golf coach Johnathan Guilkey.
