Aiudrain County Sheriff’s Office to hold conceal-carry class

The Audrain County Sheriff’s Office will host two 8-hour concealed carry weapons training classes on Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m..
The classes will consist of four hours of classroom training in the Training Room of the Sheriff’s Office and four hours of firearms training at the Firing Range behind the Sheriffs’ Office.
Class size is limited to 15 students for each class.
People interested in attending either class shall register at the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office between 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday, contact Captain Janis Holtcamp or Deputy Danielle Scrogin at 573-473-5801, ext. 231.
The deadline to register is by noon on Thursday, March 21, 2013.
The cost for registration is $100.
Students shall bring with them both a semi-auto and a revolver, 100 rounds of ammunition for each handgun, plus a ball cap, earplugs/muffs, protective glasses, and holsters for their handguns.
The Audrain County Sheriff’s Office has a couple of semi auto and revolver handguns for students who do not own a firearm.
Students shall contact Audrain County Captain James Shrader (573-473-5801, ext. 245) or Lieutenant Matt Oller (573-473-5801, ext. 227) if there is a need to borrow one of the Sheriff’s handguns.
