Agape House of Vandalia board members learned that a water leak was located and repaired by a local plumber recently.  It is hoped this will cause monthly water/sewer bills to return to more normal amounts.
In other business, it was reported that 36 guests, including six children, had stayed at the guesthouse in March. Three guests were from a ministry team visiting WERDCC (the women’s correctional facility.) The house manager also reported a malfunctioning clothes dryer.
It was will be checked and repaired or replaced as necessary.
The completed United Way of Audrain County application was reviewed by the board members and approved for submission prior to May 11. Carlene Galloway volunteered to accompany treasurer Veanna Snodgrass in the annual interview by United Way board members in June.
Edith Westmoreland volunteered to maintain the scrapbook for the house.
A quarterly inspection of the house was conducted prior to the meeting and was found to be in exemplary condition. Guest surveys were also reviewed.
Board members in attendance were Carlene Galloway, Janet Heim, Karen Holbrook, Sterling Holbrook, Floy Oliver, Kay Robnett, and Edith Westmoreland.
